Spring, How I've Missed You

Hello My Lavender Loving Friends,

It’s nice to connect with you again and I hope you are all doing well.

I love this time of year when all the gardens are coming back to life. It’ll be a little while yet before the lavender starts to bloom again but it’s nice to see it slowly waking up from its Winter nap. I’ve received lots of inquiries about the lavender and specifically when will it be in bloom. Well, Mother Nature gets to determine that. But, I can tell you that our English varieties are the first to start blooming in the middle to end of June. The French varieties follow in middle to late July and there is always something blooming all summer long. We will once again be offering “Cut Your Own” lavender. It’s a fun activity and you get to take home some lavender and enjoy it for years to come. Be sure to check our Facebook page or give us a call if you need to know what's in bloom.

I am super excited to announce a new partnership with Sarivan Bake Shoppe. Starting in a couple of weeks, we’ll be offering delicious lavender baked goods again. I can’t wait for you to experience the joy that a lavender brownie or a lemon lavender scone or a mini chocolate lavender bundt cake or a honey lavender biscotti can bring you. These are just a few of the yummy treats you can expect to find at The Lavender Farm Stand.

I’m also excited to announce that the Honey Bees will be back in their summer home here on the lavender farm in just a few weeks. And you know what that means… our very own honey!!!

Those of you who know us, know that there is always a project going on here. And, you know how much Jim LOVES to build right? Well, there are lots of projects planned for the farm but the first project Jim is tackling is the creation of our new Tranquility Garden. Think meditation, quite reflection, yoga, a space where you can practice mindfulness to help you achieve peace and tranquility and a sense of gratitude and wellbeing.

In addition, we’ve received so many requests from brides hoping to get married here on the lavender farm that we’ve decided to host small intimate wedding ceremonies and the Tranquility Garden would be a beautiful spot for that purpose.

I’m also happy to announce that one of the projects I’ve been working on for quite some time is finally complete… the website has been updated and our online store is now live!! So, if you can’t make it here to shop for your favorite lavender products you can now place an order online and I can ship it anywhere in the US. Please visit our website and let me know what you think.

As a reminder, our regular hours are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. And, if you can’t make it during regular hours please call us to make an appointment to visit. And please remember to like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram.

We’re looking forward to seeing you and sharing our “farm sweet farm” with you.

Wishing you Peace and Love,

Jim & Monica
