Hello My Lavender Loving Friends, Just wanted to give you a quick Purple Watch Update. So, the lavenders really enjoyed the recent warm sunny days. In fact, our Folgate should be ready to harvest this weekend. Unfortunately, Mother Nature giveth and Mother Nature taketh away. Since we're expecting rain this weekend we will not be able to harvest the Folgate. Harvesting lavender while it's wet will cause it to get moldy and well, that's just gross. Our Royal Velvet is just about there with the bees flying around just waiting for the buds to open. Hopefully it will be ready by next weekend (I feel like I've been saying that for weeks now). And, our French lavenders should be ready in a few weeks (HAHA). Even though most of our French suffered some winter damage they're still producing buds which I'm so very grateful for. Be sure to check my social media for updates.
Earlier this month I shared the devastating news about the loss of my hens. That experience will be with me for a long time to come. Even though my heart is still broken and I miss my girls terribly, I'm happy to announce that the City Girl Flock has 13 new members. I forgot how quickly I fall in love with these little fluff balls. I wish I could play with them all day. Our big girls, Ruby, Phoebe and Wilhelmina are still on lock down. They seem fine physically but they seem so sad. I'm sure they miss their flock mates and they're not happy about being locked up. I'm so very grateful for all the kind words, love and support you've shown me. It truly helped. Thank You!!
