Hello October

Hello My Lavender Loving Friends, October has arrived and it finally feels like Fall. Most of our lavenders have been pruned except for a few that I just couldn't get to. They will have to wait until Spring. For those of you who have not cut back your lavender yet, I strongly recommend that you wait until Spring. Why?? When lavender is pruned, that signals the plant to send up new growth. If that happens and we get a frost, which has already happened, that can do serious damage to your plant. It's best to prune in the Spring after the threat of frost has passed. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

Last month I announced our partnership with Gregory Benjamin, maker of award winning preserves and marmalades. Well, the preserves sold out in just two weekends!! Thankfully, we have more on the way and hopefully they will arrive this weekend. These amazing preserves were created, exclusively for us, with our Lavender Extract!! The flavors include Lavender Peach, Lavender Apricot, Lavender Pear and I'm thrilled to announce a new flavor, Lavender Lemon Pear!! Don't wait to come get your's as I'm certain these won't last either.

PLEASE NOTE: We will be closed on Saturday, October 12 so that we may participate in the 10th Annual Harvest, Honey & Garlic Festival at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta. We will be there from 10 am - 4 pm. Come visit us in Barn 5.

For those you who have already started your holiday shopping, I'm so envious HAHA!! For the rest of us... The holidays will be here before you know it. We're doing our best to have enough of our best selling handmade artisan lavender products in stock. But, get here soon as they're already flying off the shelves. And, remember that we have an online store. You can place your order and have it shipped or we can have it ready for pick-up at the shop.

As always, thank you for your continued support. Hope to see you soon. Jim & Monica
