Lavender Season 2020 - Update July 23, 2020
Hello Beautiful Lavender Loving Friends, Hope you’re all continuing to stay safe and coping well during these difficult times. I want to give you an update on the lavender and make a few exciting announcements. First, the bloom has come to an end. Our English lavenders were spectacular this season. I think they knew how much I needed purple this year. Our French, what’s left of them after the devastating loss last year, are just about done. The 1200 new lavender babies are doing well except for our Buena Vista. Sadly, I don’t think any of them will make it but I’m not losing hope yet.
I’m so excited to announce our new partnership with Bank Street Creamery. They are making Lavender and Lavender Honey Ice Cream, exclusively for us, with our lavender extract and honey from the hives on our property. Shout out to our amazing beekeepers Tim & Mim Dunne of Woodsedge Tree Farm!! The ice cream has been getting rave reviews!!
Welcome to the lavender family Anita, The Cupcake Lady. Anita has been baking the most scrumptious lavender cupcakes for us using our lavender extract. We are offering an assortment of flavors including lavender chocolate, lavender lemon and lavender vanilla.
Have you heard the Fantastic News?!?! You can now enjoy lavender cocktails at Mama’s Café Baci. Most of you know and have been enjoying Mama’s for years. Famous for their authentic Italian cuisine, Mama's also offers a full Gluten Free, Vegan and Vegetarian menu. Tom and his staff do an amazing job with their food and service. Our Sunset At The Lavender Farm Event held on July 18 sold out in one day! Chef Ed of The Angry Chourico BBQ and his Angry Crew outdid themselves again!! Our next Sunset At The Lavender Farm Event is being held on August 1. Tickets for this event were first offered to everyone on the July 18 Wait List as I thought that was the fair thing to do.
